Using images of microscopic plant cells as inspiration, I created 8 knit swatches using a Passap 80. Even at first glance, cellular structures resemble knit laces and other stitches. I chose to interpret these images based on the complexity inherent in nature's design. To highlight the complex structures I developed for this project, I chose a neutral color palette of dark grey and cream.
